About Nolan
Nolan Barnes was injured in a single motor vehicle collision in 2010, leaving him paraplegic. This pivotal moment in Nolan’s life has propelled him to inspire others and achieve greatness. He overcame his injury to become a world-class athlete, motivational speaker and advocate against impaired driving.
Just 5 months after he was injured, Nolan started public speaking and has since spoken to thousands of people across Western Canada. He has experience speaking at SADD conferences, P.A.R.T.Y. (Prevent Alcohol and Risk-Related Trauma in Youth) program, reservations and small-town community schools across the country and urban centers with thousands of students in attendance.
He has made it his mission to share the message of staying safe, the importance of decision making and helping people find fulfillment in their lives, both personally and professionally.
A Mainstreet Research poll conducted in August showed more than 1 in 5 Saskatchewan residents think it’s OK to drive drunk if only going a short distance on quiet roads.
